I had been looking for a sofa for over a month – mostly online – and had almost made a decision on which one to order. I was hesitating for all the obvious reasons – not being able to see it first, distance, environmental issues etc. So, I decided to check once more for a local store/designer where I might find style and functionality at a price I could afford. How had I missed Novo when I began my search by scrolling online for Vancouver stores to check out? A week ago I went to Novo and met David, the owner. I showed a photo of the sofa I was considering and he agreed it was a good looking piece. He read the description and then shared his knowledge in terms of what to avoid when buying online and even pointed out why a certain bad review was not really relevant. it was an informative casual, easy conversation with absolutely no pressure.

A big part of why i liked the online sofa was the colour – fuchsia! He showed me a dark fuchsia sample and then let me look around on my own. i loved the “slim” sofa….when he told me that it could be made up to 6” longer for the same price, and explained all the other included options…I was excited!
Now David is on the trail of a brighter fuchsia – and I am so relieved to be getting a fabulous local sofa via such wonderful customer service.

“My wife and I were looking for a sofa for our newly renovated basement. We visited half a dozen stores. The experience was becoming unpleasant because of the amount of time spent and the lack of results. Then, we visited Novo Furniture. We walked the store and tried the sofas undisturbed. When we were ready we asked David dozen of questions ranging from fabrics, cushion firmness, custom size, leg colors, springs, etc. He answered them with easy and the confidence of somebody who knew what he was talking about.
